Different dentists, different opinions on cavities?

Get a second opinion. You don't want anyone drilling if your tooth is healthy, and you don't want to leave a cavity unfilled. So, go to another dentist, and ask your first dentist for a WRITTEN REPORT and a copy of the exrays that you can take with you or forward to the second dentist via email. You are entitled to that. When I did that, the second and third (because I still wasn't sure what needed to be done) dentists came up with different treatment plans and both concurred that part of the problem was the quality of the exrays that the first dentist took! It's worth taking the time and spending the money to get it right. Good luck.
