Wow! You are pretty motivated for a high school student. That's awesome. I'm a dentist so I think I can speak with authority on this subject. First, dental schools will look at your undergraduate degree and GPA. They won't even look at what you did in high school. So work hard in high school to get into a good college. It doesn't matter where you go to college as long as you excell. Do VERY WELL in college in whatever major you choose. Dental school is very competitive, much more so than medical school nowadays. You should do volunteer work and have a good score on the DAT. As for choosing a school you should consider public vs private and what is best for you. Private school could wind up costing you over a quarter of a million dollars!! State schools are much more affordable but you usually have to be a resident of the state. (Harvard isn't known for being a very good dental school believe it or not!) Take it one goal at a time and you will get there eventually. Check out www adea.org for more info!
